This book mirrors my life and Kate Moore, the author, is saddened to recieve emails from women who tell her that this still happens today in 2023. I am in touch with her. My husband did not have me committed, he contacted Catt West Auckland Mental Health Unit in Auckland, NZ on the 31 May 1999. He gave them malicious and very disturbing information about me. They believed his despicable lies and from 1999 to 2022 they treated me with contempt. They ignored my pleas for help and anything I told them they would not believe me. When I found out most of the real truth, I took control of my life and now, in 2024, am still trying to clear my name. My mental health files tell a bizarre and horrific story with the proof of what he did to me. It is too early for me to read this book but I will when I feel well enough to cope with it.
