The Movable Book Society a non-profit organization, provides a forum for artists, booksellers, book producers, collectors, curators and others to share enthusiasm and exchange information about pop-up and movable books. There are nearly 450 members worldwide.

The Dolls House and The City Park– by Lothar Meggendofer
The idea of the three-dimensional picture book evolved from the peep show which was first introduced in Germany around 1730 by the publisher Martin Englebrecht. Lothar Meggendorfer was born in Munich in 1847. Despite his popularity as a magazine illustrator Meggendorfer’s reputation today is based almost solely on
the ingenious mechanical picture books which he began to design I the closing decades of the nineteenth century. These unfold to around 4ft.
Moveable Books - An Illustrated History – by Peter Hannin. This book is extremely rare filled with pages and picture folding, revolving, dissolving, mechanical, panoramic, dimensional books from the collection of David and Briar Philips.
